Various things contribute towards stomach gas pain. The problem could be influenced by your physical condition, the type of food that you eat and the liquids that you drink and certain habits that you might have. Bacterial activity in digestion process is not the only reason for stomach gas pain. If a lot of air is swallowed, it would increase the chances of gas building up within your stomach. People who eat too fast and smokers might experience this condition fairly regularly.
Don’t eat excessive amount of food if you don’t want to suffer from stomach gas pain. If your condition is fairly severe, it could be wise to stay away from food that produces lots of gas. Cauliflowers, potatoes, beans, ice cream, cabbages, corn, broccoli, noodles, asparagus, cheese and Brussels sprouts are some such foods that can produce a lot of gas. Certain fruits like bananas can also worsen the situation.
Stomach gas pain could also be the result of your body’s intolerance to certain types of foods and drinks. Diseases like the celiac disease could also affect the build up of gas within your stomach. If you have noticed that you tend to have these kinds of pains after eating certain types of food, make sure that you don’t eat the particular food again. It would be unfortunate if the type of food in question is your favorite one!
You don’t need to go to the doctor and get medication to keep your stomach gas pain under control. If you drink a lot of peppermint tea and carbonated water you might be able to reduce the amount of gas produced in your stomach. Go for a little walk after a meal if possible. Don’t smoke and don’t use chewing gum when you have these pains. Visit your physician if these small remedies fail to produce any results.
However much you try, it might be unlikely for you to completely get rid of stomach gas pain. Take precautions and keep the situation under control.
